Founded in 2023 as the OAA 1983 Year Group’s 40th Anniversary Legacy Project, ROBO MOTO provides Achimota School students with hands-on training in robotics, programming, and engineering while participating in national and international robotics competitions.
Through robotics, students gain practical experience in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while developing creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
What Students Do in ROBO MOTO
Students in ROBO MOTO learn robotics through practical hands-on experience.
Activities include:
- Robot Design and Construction
- Programming Robotics Systems
- Engineering Problem-Solving
- Robotics Competitions
- Collaborative Innovation Projects
Training areas include programming, mechanical design, electronics, embedded systems, and robotics engineering.
ROBO MOTO was established through the initiative and sponsorship of the OAA 1983 Year Group as part of their 40th Anniversary Legacy Project.

Students participated in the RISE World Robotic Olympiad and the First Robotic Challenge in Singapore.
The club competed in ROBOFEST qualifiers and the First Lego League Challenge, winning multiple awards including 1st Place in Robot Design.

ROBO MOTO won 1st Place at the Annual Impact Roundtable Discussion & Robotics Competition (AIRTAD 2025).
Membership expanded to over 60 students, and the club continues to strengthen training programmes and competition participation.
